Well, sorta.
As many of you know I am active duty Army. I have been here at Fort Knox for 4 1/2 years, before that I was stationed in Hawaii. In fact, back in 1999, when I first discoverd SSG, I was living on the island of Oahu. Over the years I have disappeared from the forums for weeks or months at a time, duty calls.
Well, after 4 1/2 years of living the good life at Fort KnoxI was informed today, that it is yet again, time for me to move on.
In a few months I will be going off to my new duty assignment at Fort Hood TX.
I will probably be off the forums from late Jan or early Feb until some time in April. During that time I will be going to school and taking leave before I sign in to my new unit, whichever unit that will be.
I am looking forward to new challenges and a change of pace. I have never really been one to sit still for too long. Almost five years in one place (for the most part) has been frustrating. I look forward to meeting new people and experiencing life in Texas. I am also hopeful that my time at Ft. Hood will be shorter than the time I have spent here.
I was soooo hoping for an overseas assignment, but the Army says they need me at Ft. Hood, so that's where I'm going.
Anyway I will be busy over the next couple of months getting ready for the move, packing up my figures, ordering the new Star Cases for my ROTS figs, etc.
Any advise for moving "the collection"?

) Plus, my family started being more of a priority to me. During my time in, I got an Associate's Degree and enough training to make $50,000+ per year with a big engineering firm. If you have more questions, feel free to PM or e-mail me.
I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
