Above and Beyond (1949) The first movie made about the atomic bomb and bombing of Hiroshima. Robert Taylor played Col. Tibbetts.

They Came to Cordura (1959). Gary Cooper is escorted prisoner Rita Hayworth and five soldiers back to base during the Spanish military expedition in 1916. Coop's trying to determine if the soldiers are truly worthy of receiving the Medal of Honor or are really cowards. It's been 30 years since I saw this one. I enjoyed it.

2001 (1968). I got sucked into watching this the other night on TCM. I had to record the last 40 minutes. Visually dazzling, the special effects are great, but boy it is sllloooooooooooooooow. I put 2001 in the 'I can see this movie once every 5 - 10 years' category. I like 2010 better.

Laura (1944). Classic mystery/suspense movie involving a murdered beauty with Dana Andrews, Gene Tierney and Clifton Webb.

Dallas Buyers Club, while I was alive during the aids scare of the 80's I was quite young so I can't say I was aware of it at the time for the most part. I do remember an episode of Golden Girls where for a time they thought Rose might have HIV but anywho... Good film, although it was obvious (to me) that Ray would become friends with Mcwannabe and that Ray would die first. It was well worth the rental from Red Box.

The 40 Year Old Virgin, nearly 10 years later but still a good flick. Childish at times? Yeah, sill at times? Yeah. But that doesn't mean it isn't an entertaining flick to watch.

    KELLY CLARKSON!!!

(And I really freakin' hate how a post in all caps is converted by the forum software to all lowercase, requiring me to add this comment to prevent that.)
    Tommy, close your eyes.

Love how it also links a site to one of those words, too (which if the AI were really intelligent, would link to a chest hair removal product ).

Pretty Maids in a Row (1971). A different type of Rock Hudson movie. He's a football coach/guidance counselor at a Cali high school where a series of murders take place.

Seconds (1966). John Randolph is reborn as Hudson in this sci-fi/fantasy movie that's just plain creepy. I'd seen bits and pieces of it years ago but watched it all the way through. Like I said, creepy.

She's Out Of My League ~ I've posted it here before, good flick with Jay Baruchel, the future former Mrs. Jim Jam Bonds aka Alice Eve, TJ Miller (met him at 2-1B's bachlor party, very cool dude), Krysten Ritter and bunch of others.

Angels and Demons (2009). Read the book first (just recently, too) and waited until I was done before watching the movie. Significant changes between the two, but still enjoyable.

Team America: World Police, it seemed like an "appropriate" choice with tomorrow being July 4th.
