Thread: Best SW movie?

  1. #1

    Question Best SW movie?

I know this has probably been asked before, but I haven't seen it so, I am asking anyways. So, which Star Wars movie is your favorite? Mine would be....... ROTJ. I don't know why, just is.
I would rate it like this:
    4. The Phantom Menace
    3. Empire Strikes Back
    2. A New Hope
    1. Return of the Jedi

I am, however, looking forward to Attack of the Clones a ton. I am also extrememely excited about Episode III. I love Plo Koon and all the Jedi Council and so that is why I know I will like the Prequels also. I actually liked TPM, but I liked the trilogy more, of course.

    6.The Phantom Menace
5.Episode 3 - Its going to better than EP1 for sure
    4. Empire Strikes Back
    3. A New Hope
    2. Return of the Jedi
    1. Attack Of The clones

Even though AOTC isn't out yet,its my favourite from what I've seen, heard and read

    6. Phantom Menace
    3. Return of the Jedi
    2. Empire Strikes Back
    1. Star Wars (ANH for the neophytes )

I see ANH as the quintessential Star Wars film, of course. However, I think ESB had the best story and character developement and ROTJ had the best production design, costumes and the coolest looking aliens.

IMO ANH is the best followed by ESB, ROTJ, and TPM.

    In order of release.

    1. Empire Strikes Back
    2. A New Hope
    3. Return of the Jedi
    4. The Phantom Menace

Empire is my favorite because it is so dark, plus it has the richest story and development of plot. We learn that:

    1. From Yoda "There is another."
    2. We learn Vader is Luke's Father
    3. New characters (Yoda, Lando, and Boba Fett, pre Special Edition)
    4. Han Solo gets frozen in Carbonite
    5. C-3P0 blasted apart
    6. Luke gets his hand cut off
    7. Leai and Han reveal their love for each other.

Come on now. A great story. ESB all the way baby!

I'm everywhere you want to be...
Star Wars and Empire are my favorite. ESB squeaks out as my favorite, cause there's no whiny Luke scenes.

ROTJ and TPM have their moments, but aren't good overall, IMO. I just don't care for them as much.

ANH-because its what got me hooked on Star Wars.

ESB- because its the best one.

ROTJ- Good ,but could do without the Ewoks

TPM- Good , but had a lot of missing parts which GL saw fit to cut out.[But we won't go into that]

    1. A New Hope- without it this site would not exist. Nuff said.
    2. Empire strikes back- mean, moody & the best musical score of the saga (so far).
    3. Phantom menace- at first I was dismayed, but with the passing of time & the dvd it's kinda grown on me.
    4. Return of the jedi- well, it ties up the loose ends I suppose.

    4. The Phantom Menace
    3. Return of the Jedi
    2. A New Hope
    1. The Empire Strikes Back

Basically I have ANH and ESB as a tie. However, I give Empire the nod. All the main characters were back with the additions of Yoda, Lando, and Boba. The entire story was a surprise from beginning to end. Almost completely unpredictable. Granted I was 6 when I saw it. I thought it was the most unique one so far.
Do or do not. There is no try.

I think ESB is the best of the films, but ANH is my favorite because it's crafted with so much heart and vision.
Darth Vader is becoming the Mickey Mouse of Star Wars.

Kylo Ren - came from Space Brooklyn, although he moved to Space Williamsburg before it was trendy.

The use of a lightsaber does not make one a Jedi, it is the ability to not use it.
