Here's a way to make yourself feel old

I just found out that a girl from my graduating class is the guidance counselor at the high school I attended.

Yeah, that'll do it. I think I'll use my walker to go to the bathroom so I can take my false teeth out now.
    That's my jacket!

A guy I graduated with was recently elected as a State Representative after serving a few years on the City Council.

But what really makes me feel old is hearing songs I grew up listening to as a teenager on classic rock stations.

For some reason, I don't think of myself as old or older. I still think of myself as I did when I was 15. When I see my graduating classmates and they have wrinkles and grey hairs, I chuckle at them. Even though I have them too.
No matter how I die, even if there is a suicide note; it was murder. Cheers!

Heck, two of our good friends are high-school teachers, and partying with them is WEIRD, it only seems like yesterday I was getting kicked out of highschool Isobaws&

My graduating class will celebrate its 20-year reunion in 2009. God help me... and I'll be 39 then. Holy frick.

I've been under a lot of pressure to sign up for a retirement plan where I work. (Most of my investments are in real estate at the moment.) Anyway, the Merril Lynch speaker at a seminar I attended said folks are retiring earlier, and living longer.

That doesn't make much sense to me. If I live to be 90 (not inconceivable, considering modern health care and my own personal good health), I plan on working until I'm seventy. I can't imagine being retired for 30 years or more.

And THAT (talk about retirement, pensions, etc.) really makes me feel OLD.

You could always pretend you're BobbyFett and feel really old.

Y'know. I'm 39. I don't feel old at all. I've got nothing like a house mortgage or insurance plan or pension/retirement plan, no family or kids, no car, no debts. I'm basically a free agent.
the only thing that keeps me 'here' right now is my dog. who needs special care and my partner who is terminally ill. but both of them only got another three or four years in them now so after that who knows where I'll be or doing what. no point being sentimental when you know the end of the story already eh?
and 25-30 years from now? I can't be bothered about thinking about that. I'll worry about it when I get there. maybe be a hippy and paint for my supper, or learn to play an instrument and join a band, become a chef, a senior escort, an adult entertainment baron. who knows, it doesn't matter right now.
