L.A. area Just Found

Target West Hollywood had a lone TVC Commander Gree. I passed.

Man is it dry in LA for figures. I haven't found a new figure since I think before Christmas, maybe even before Thanksgiving!


In Transformers, I picked up Laser Prime homage last night, a surprisingly good figure marred only by crappy vehicle mode colors. And I picked up PCC Double Clutch knowing it was the worst of the worst, and it is!


Unfortunately, right now I can't hunt too much, my cat has grown gravely ill and I'm staying with him most of the time for his last few days.

I've been talking to JT about his cat. It's very sad to lose a friend like that. My kindest thoughts to them both.

I have obtained some Transformers as of late.

Today I found Scourge at TRU to go with my eBay purchase of Rodimus, Galvatron, and Cyclonus in a 3-pack, and the Voyager Springer figure (non-triple-changer). This will make a great display. I think I am done. I'm not sure there are any other figures that can go with this scale, though maybe City Commander Ultra Magnus if I can afford him - though he might better belong with my other just-found? Masterpiece Grimlock is a possibility here, too. I don't own Grimlock but passed on him many times. Hmmmm.

Today I also found Sergeant Kup! Finally! (at TRU at the same time) This looks like an excellent figure. He will go with Blurr (Deluxe) and the Masterpiece Rodimus Prime, which I may wait for a US version to purchase at a better price. These figures lack Decepticons to pose with them. I wonder about my chances of Hasbro producing a Leader Class Cyclonus, Sourge, or Galvatron - or the same for a Takara-Tomy Maserpiece. (The latter might happen because they made Rodimus - however, for Galvatron, I'd want something better looking than his G-1 cannon toy being reproduced. Cyclonus was always the coolest looking!)

I took him to the emergency vet on the 14th when I noticed he wasn't eating, they told me he had a large tumor on his tongue, not removable, not really anything that could be done about it, but I should get a second opinion and cancer screening from either a regular vet or a vet cancer specialist. They gave him an antibiotic injection for the tumor (in the mouth, they pick up infections easily) and some syringes with pain relieving meds (he hates the task of me injecting meds into his mouth, but doesn't mind the actual meds, so frustrating). The next day, I took him to the regular vet since they have cancer specialists there anyway, and the vet confirmed that it was a tumor which couldn't be removed because cats cannot live without their tongues, it's something to do with the unique way how they drink and eat. They offered the cancer screening biopsy which would require anesthesia, but I asked the vet if knowing if it's benign or malignant would help his situation at all, to which the vet said it wouldn't change anything except us knowing for sure. I told him I didn't care one way or the other if it didn't help the cat, and I didn't want to submit him to stressful anesthesia for no benefit.

Anyway, he can barely eat now, and only soft food that's watered down, can barely drink water, is in a little pain, uncontrolled thick drooling, and he's clearly winding down. I didn't think he'd survive the week and a half it's been, to be honest. At some point in the next few days to weeks, it's going to become too much for him and I'm going to have to put him to sleep. I've had him since birth, he was abandoned at birth in the apartment building's garage and we rescued him, so it's been very hard.

I'm really sorry Mike. I love my cat too. I guess as long as he is not in pain it's OK. If he is it's time to stop the pain.

I actually got my DCUC wave 16 order from Amazon yesterday. I was so excited to build the Bane figure. However, the head was so hard to connect. It was so hard, that I actually broke the peg in half. The connector was hard to insert into the head, and the peg was to thin. I can't believe Mattel screwed this up this bad.

Classy. Why would I bend cards? If I find new figures, I buy them, not ruin them. I don't mind the bending if it means I can find figures though, I still haven't found a single SW figure this year.

No pressure though, right? I appreciate the sentiment though. It's not long now, a day or two, and it really hurts me to think about it, but I've known for 2 weeks that it'd have to be done. He doesn't really seem in pain, but he's stopped eating and is losing weight and strength.
