Han Solo in Deluxe M Falcon not working

Ín April I bought a deluxe Millenium Falcon for my pending son's birthday that was yesterday. Before removing the items the Han Solo figure spoke and sounded. After assemblng the Falcon Han Solo was quiet. I have changed the batteries, but nada. Since it was bought in April the shop will not help. Any ideas what could be wrong? The lights flash once each time I put the batteries in, but nothing happens after that.

If it's a short flash, it sounds like the batteries you put in are low.

The use of a lightsaber does not make one a Jedi, it is the ability to not use it.

As I wrote, I have changed the batteries for new ones and it still did not work.

I know, that's why I referred to them as the ones "you put in". Did you make sure those batteries were good? I've occasionally had bad batteries right out of the package.

I can't see anything else it could be besides that or "broken". But there's nothing I know of which could cause a short flash and nothing else, I just monkeyed with mine to be sure.

They were brand new rechargable ones that I had just charged, so yes they were good.
Actually, I have been in contact with Hasbro Nordic and they are most likely sending me a new Han Solo figure, without asking for a receipt or asking me to go back to the shop. That is what I call great service!

That's cool of them to replace it easy like that. Do you have to send it in first?

Rechargables operate at a slightly lower voltage, usually 1.2v instead of 1.5v, it's unlikely the issue but you may want to swap the batteries in the Chewie half with the Han half just to see if that's it.

Yeah, I tried swapping the batteries between the 2 halves and it still did not work.
No, it does not seem like they want the Han Solo to be sent in. On the other hand, when and if the new one arrives there might be letter asking me to do just that.
