On Wednesday the wife and I are headed to the Boston area for a week.
We spent a week there back in April 2006 and and had a blast. This time we're looking for new things to do.
Last time we hit:
-The city of Boston itself (too bad the Star Wars exhibit isn't there anymore).
-Walked around Harvard.
-A Harbor tour.
-Salem (meh), but could be cool this time of year.
-Waldon Pond.
-An old cemetery (I forget the name) with a bunch of famous authors (like Ralph Waldo Emmerson).
-We took a trip up the coast to Maine (Kennybunport - sp?).
-Almost met Ben Affleck.
-Toured Fenway (couldn't get tickets - the dirty Yankees were in town).
-Ate at damn near every seafood shack on the coast (I made the "mistake" of eating New England Clam Chowder for the first time in Mass. I can't eat that vomit in a can they call N.E. Clam Chowder here).
-I'm forgetting a thing or two...
So far on this trip, we are:
-Going to/volunteering at the Regatta (my bro-in-law's girlfriend is in it).
-Heading to Lizzie Borden's house.
-Finding a Newbury Comic Store for some Sailor Jerry Rum (weird, I know, but damn, that is some damn good rum).
-The aquarium (probably) and an IMAX show (we saw one last time).
-A Bruins game is a possibility.
Suggestions for anything else?
