    Brian Wilson Presents: SMile

Does anybody have this album? any thoughts? I'm thinking of picking it up. I love "Pet Sounds" and apparently this is something along the lines of the "lost" follow-up.

I've had it for a few years. It's amazing. It isn't quite what it would've been in 1968 (?) with the full Beach Boys, but it's the only "set on the back burner for several decades" projects I know of that was completed and didn't disappoint.

It's at least Brian's best solo album. And I've gone on record before saying the man is a god among men.

I agree with El Chuxter about Smile being amazing. I picked it up right after it came out, and though I'm not a huge Beach Boys fan or anything, I think it's a great album. Knowing the history behind it makes it all the more incredible.

(Kind of think I'll give it a listen right now.)

It's an outstanding album, JON and if you liked Pet Sounds, you won't be disappointed.

As good as SMile is, I think Lucky Old Sun (which came out a few weeks ago) is better.
