I'm meeting a friend for lunch today and the closest thing is a McBowel's. I am getting two fish butt sammiches and that's it. That's the only thing I like there... aside from their coffees.

The fruit parfaits were/are suprisingly good. I'm 'proud' to say that I don't do fast food anymore with the exception of Subway, which I don't think is really all that bad.

I don't do fast food really. I get the fish butt sammiches maybe 4 times a year and that's it. Subway is fine... Jimmy John's is a place I recently tried and they had a nice sammich there too. I go to McBowel's for the coffee when I am on the road. It's cheaper than Starbucks and often better. Personally, I prefer to frequent the independent eateries in town, of which we have a LOT of good ones!!!

The last few times I've eaten there I have had the chicken wrap and a smoothie. I like those pretty well. Other items I often get are the filet o' fish or cheesburger. And of course, fries. Often I will get a shake instead of a soft drink.

In that nebulous region between breakfast and lunch, but when you order breakfast items, I went to Norms around 11am. Got their Loaded Hash Browns (with biscuit & gravy, 2 scrambled eggs) special, and water. Good eatin's.

With only 3 days of bread left in the loaf this week, I had a bagel as my lunchmeat sandwich today; nice change of taste.

Saturday, I saw the "McRib is Back" sign, and just couldn't resist. Being out of town, I hadn't shopped for this week's lunch yet, so yesterday, I raided the pantry for a granola bar and some crackers.

The McRib has been resurrected more times than Jesus. The ball's in your court now, O Son of Man.

I had Mexican Chicken Tortilla soup for lunch today.
