"Little kids with free Pepsi coupons and viagra samples?!?!?! That sounds like the makings of some sort of "Children of the Corn" type flick."


Perhaps they should just include a box of sugar cubes......that would really keep kids coming back!

Seriously though.......whatever gives figures that fresh out of the bubble smell......I think they should bottle that and include one with every figure! Even my wife enjoys smelling the figures I open.

I'd say it's a good bet that Jango will be on the corner of the card and hopefully the cards will follow his color scheme. Or maybe Hasbro will throw us all for a loop and completely redesign the cards with just a logo and a reference photo for each individual figure.

Magnolia-Fan suggested something similar earlier in the discussion, and the idea has really grown on me. I think the AOTC logo at the top with a background picture of a movie scene featuring the character in the bubble is an EXCELLENT idea. I hope they keep the format for the back of the POTJ cards though.

I would definitely approve of a retro look to Ep2 packaging. Heck they could even go back to the black cards, which should stand out great among all the neon colors in the toy aisle nowadays.

As for the back of the card, I used to love the vintage cardbacks because you got to see every figure in the line up to that point. POTJ is a step in the right direction, but I want to see EVERY figure with the little "Collect all 57235!" brainwashing slogan for kids. That's why Ep1 toys became pegwarmers, Hasbro dropped the ball in the brainwashing department. Look at how well it worked with the vintage toys, we're all still collecting aren't we?

You are so right! I loved that smell on the vintage figs when I was a kid. Many years later when I opened a Kenner-baggied Prune Face for my loose collection, one whiff took me back over a decade!

And while I'm at it, I'd like to suggest that they just soak the cards in it, so that a fan can smell them from aisles away.

That coupled with bigbarada's brainwashing scheme should move the figs right off the pegs!
