And we're assuming that English survives as a language, when in reality, it's possibly the most malleable of all the languages. That and almost 2/3 of the people of the world speak some other language first.

Latin hasn't survived as a language but there are still lots of people who can speak it. I don't think english will die and be forgotten. Evolve, yes, but not die.
