Happy Chinese or Lunar Niu Year

My wife wants me to wish everyone a Happy Niu Year which is Monday.

I'm told niu is Mandarin for Ox/Bull, which the upcoming year is. In Mandarin, phonetically niu is pronounced like new in English.

She made one banner. My in-laws in Beijing made the other one.

Happy Year of the Red Ox, everyone !

I work with China every day, so my colleagues are off on Holiday now through all next week. They even sent us some stuffed plush red oxen for our desks and they are adorable.

It's amazing how these Asian countries love there New Year. Japan was practically shut down from December 29th until about January 4th for the New Year.
    Up, up, and OKAAAAY!!!
