Yes, that's me. My first novel I'm trying to get agented is set during the Civil War so I've been acting to make marketing contacts. Like 1 of my characters I seem to have a predisposition to Train Robbery

Went for a run, relaxed, hiked a butte, went to the Giants/Royals game, got my pic taken with HOFer Rollie Fingers, splashed around in the pool and hot tub, went to a stake house and enjoyed a wonderful porterhouse.

I worked on the City Council campaign (special election due to a resignation) and then came home and worked on my novel, followed up by watching a lot of season 5 of The A-Team!

Like those standard letters Wheel of Fortune gives the contestant in their final puzzle: tried (and mostly succeeded) to sleep in, sprinklers, crossword, recycling (up to $190 on the school year so far), sports on TV. Fueled up the car, shopped a little. Headed to a cool, and unknown to me until a couple days ago, Abraham Lincoln shrine. Had dinner at a new, and not-fully-opened-yet pizza buffet place, where we got to watch the "condensation" run (not drip) down from the a/c unit behind us. No prices listed anywhere, cashier "forgot" to mention that drinks are separate, TV was muted and music was too loud, items in buffet line weren't labeled so you had to guess at some of them (salad dressings, what exactly was on that pizza, whether something was working yet or not). Food was good, though. Home to read.

Mrs. TI7 and I ran errands most of the day to the point where it became so late that we ended up going out to dinner (comida mexicana). Experienced Devine Intervention when we picked up the mail: we received an escrow refund check which was just enough to help pay income taxes owed (for once). We have to pay this year due to not planning for the lucrative year I had last year with my job as an adjunct faculty member with our community college system and all the teaching I did on the side. We didn't know where we were going to come up with the bucks until yesterday...the check covers the amount exactly!
