    E-Wing Model

Came across this model recently... very nice! Smokes my AF version. Wish we'd seen a Titanium version.

McCoy: What do those super sensitive ears make of that, Mr. Spock?
Spock: Wood. Rubbing on some kind of leather.

that looks amazing!...from the view of the bottom, it appears that the panels toward the back open...do they? and there doesn't appear to be a "slot" for an astromech...i know my af version has an astromech...did galoob mess up on that one?

Awesome find Darth Duranium. I have the AF version and it`s no where close to being this cool. Thanks for sharing!

The Astromech droid on the Action Fleet version is hidden inside the body of the ship behind the pilot.

It is pretty sweet... wish it was mine! Those were pics from eBay... didn't mean to infer otherwise. I think it did come with landing gear and opening panels... such amazing detail! It is the nicest E-Wing I've ever seen. I really like the over-the-canopy dual turbolaser... much nicer than the AF single cannon.

Wookieepeida says: Initial models required the use of the R7-series astromech droid, which was exclusively built for the E-wing.

There's an illustration below that shows an astromech in the first compartment behind the cockpit.

But I guess it's ok with or without an astromech. Galoob got the R7 right, if it's an early model E-Wing. Neither cockpit looks much like the illustration, though...
