    The Future Of Titanium?

Some Hasbro proto pics from a forum called Coreplanets.com below.

The toys apparently employ state of the art technology... from 1975.

Looks like they're looking for more "play patterns" for the ship designs... anyone remember the Galoob podracing debacle?

These appear to be about 10 cm/ 4 inches long... right in the Titanium ballpark.

I'm not exactly impressed, to say the least... but there they are.

McCoy: What do those super sensitive ears make of that, Mr. Spock?
Spock: Wood. Rubbing on some kind of leather.

I doubt it's to replace Titaniums directly, maybe just to keep a mini-ships line out, but they're obviously not even close to being accurate replications of SW ships. It seems like a bad idea as ripcord stuff like that never seems to sell well for any company line. They always look like they sit, and sit, and sit until Christmas time or heavy clearances.

If I didn't know better, I'd say McDonalds is making new happy meal toys.

I'd say clone157 hit the nail on the head.

Oh god Hasbro at it again, killing a good product line to replace it with crap that no-one will buy.

These look no better than the Transformers RPM cars, which not so coincidentally do not seem to be selling very well.

This could be one of the worst ideas that Hasbro has ever employed in the Star Wars line. Horrible-looking!
One way to out think people is to make them think you think they'll think what you are not really trying to get them to think what you think.

I think Clone157 is right, I can't really seeing these "sets" being release to general retail. I also think they might be prototypes of Mcdonalds or Burger King premiums. Which would be fine, I'd rather pay around $6 for these and a mael then $10 at WM, TRU, or Target.

I don't understand Hasblows logic, if there is any. Realease, these bad, redone ideas. That other toy companies have done, or go back and design more NEW Action-Fleet, with figures. Or Micro Machines. Instead of giving us those so-so SWTFs.
