Thumbs up When "Star Wars" shows up in music...

I was listening to the new Take That single, "The Flood", and one of the verses contains:

Bleeding, but none of us leaving,
Watch your mouth son or youíll find yourself floating home.
Here we come now on a dark star, seeing demons, not what we are.

Slightly misquoted, but close enough for country.

In the song Hypnotize Biggie Smallz says (something along the lines of) "...use the force like Obi..."

There's a few Beastie Boys joints that light up the SW tip, but right now I can't think of what they are - AND I'M ACTUALLY LISTENING TO ALL THEIR MUSIC! Today has been a weird day, my brain feels like it's drained out of my socks. But there's songs that mention Yoda and Jabba the Hutt somewhere in this mix.

    I'll just look it up.

    From the album Ill Communications...
    Do It:
Like gravy on potatoes, Luke to Darth Vader
I'm a souped up sucker and I'll see you all later

From their last album, To The 5 Burroughs...
    Triple Trouble:
You see I walk like Jabba The Hutt
With the style so new y'all be like what?
    All Lifestyles:
    Go-ta go-ta go-ta go-ta
Don't mess with crack or the baking soda
Whether in the high rise where you live like Rhoda
Or in the shack and you live like Yoda
You suckers try to front like you've got the force
But I'll slay like Vader sip you for a first course
Don't even get me started on the intercourse
Darth Vader is becoming the Mickey Mouse of Star Wars.

Kylo Ren - came from Space Brooklyn, although he moved to Space Williamsburg before it was trendy.

The use of a lightsaber does not make one a Jedi, it is the ability to not use it.

I think I may have mentioned this here before. The Soul Coughing song "Rolling" has the line - Iím gonna
slip into the field like Han Solo

Another song on the same album, "Monster Man", has the line - Youíre dumber than a box of
. This showed up a few times in the A.C. Crispin Han Solo trilogy, usually to describe Gamorreans.

The Bloodhound Gang has numerous SW references in their songs.
A few that come to mind immediately are:

Coo Coo Ca Choo uses Artoo and Chewbacca samples throughout the song.

Fire Water Burn: "'Cause I'm kind of like Han Solo, always strokin' my own Wookie"

Jackass: "I'm a pimped out Jedi Knight/Obi-Wan meets Dolemite/Ben Kenobi got himself a pompadour/ These aren't the ho's your looking for"

You're Pretty When I'm Drunk: "Your A Mix Between An Ugnaut And Eugene Levy/You Can Call It Big-Boned, I Prefer To Call It Gut/You're Buddha You're Shamu You're Jabba The F*c*in' Hutt"

Ah, yes. Bloodhound Gang also references Chewie in "Why's Everybody Always Pickin' On Me?"

The morn' that I was born my old man beat up the dotor
He clocked the doctor cause the doctor said I looked like Chewbacca
The doctor said sir you're misled sir which infers you mistook me
I did not mean your lovely wife was shackin' up with a wookie
What I mean is Wolverine is less hairy than your son
He's looks like Chewie Baba Booey Baba Booey and Hong Kong Phooey all in one

Ryan Adams has a track on his new album called "Star Wars." It's not heavily about SW, but features the line, "Someone I love who will love me like I love Star Wars, ninjas, and wizards."
    That's my jacket!

Dre's half of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below in the lyrics to Happy Valentine's Day:

Han Solo till I'm hit by a bullet, so may the Force

House of Pain's "Top O' The Morning To Ya:"

"I rip sh** and back flip like a Jedi
I roll with the groove and I'm smooth and you can bet I
Come correct and get respect when I'm flowin'"
