Howard Roffman, president of Lucas Licensing, the company owned by renowned director and creator of the film phenomenon George Lucas, discussed the film's iconic status. The movie franchise has made an impressive $4bn (2.54bn) at the box office since the first film's release in 1977.



But the sales of toys, video games, clothing and books in more than 100 countries have earned nearly six times as much in that time.
