Ok, that wasn't what it was called but I'd click on Forum and it'd show me all the threads that have been posted in since the last time I was logged in, it was a quick and easy way to see what was going on on SSG compared to how we do it now.

"What's New" has been replaced by the Activity stream. If you want "New Posts" like you're describing, ANY forums page has that link at the top just beneath the main navigation bar.
