    Indeed, I was kidding.

I saw the new BAD at Star Trader in Disneyland on Friday night. My sibling built a droid but I did not as I was thrown off looking at the legs and not seeing any hoses on them. I guess this might be a new sculpt for the legs?

I'm not sure what other differences there may be in the other pieces as I'm just going off of my initial eye test.

Oh jeez, there are no hoses on the new legs? I didn't go into Star Trader last time I was there (was feeling under the weather) and it sounds like there's a bigger change than I expected.

Saw the new parts on Mother's Day, the legs make sense because they're now reversible, so kids don't have to figure out which side is which, a leg is now a leg no matter what, and it's a pretty small change - remove hoses, add minor detailing to back side of foot.

They also changed the bodies, gone are the lower set of joint holes, and the "guts" at the top are a different design. Fun's over, should have made 4-legged droids to get extra legs when I had a chance.

That said, I dunno how they think these are worth $13 a pop, and now instead of 2-pack packaging they just charge $20 for 2 singles. I didn't buy any, and I am not sure if I ever will, the legs are better for kids but make these less collector-friendly.

Adam has been reviewing these over at Galactic Hunter, and there's been confirmation that even more parts will be coming later in the year. The fact that they announced and released them halfway through Celebration was kinda frustrating since I had been at Disneyland for three days beforehand, but I'll be back.

I like that they're making realistic versions of Clone Wars droids, including Mace's R8-B7, Ahsoka's R7-A7, and a somewhat modified R3-S6. They're also remaking several droids seen in Hasbro's realistic lines. Now that they're directly making figures based on the movies and shows, hopefully we'll see some new ones eventually.

The reversible leg thing is a smart solution. Even when I was there last month, I couldn't match the blue legs since all the lefts were gone. The squares and rectangle near the top of the leg are now gone from this new design as well.

They said as much, it's in my write-up of the SWCA Disney Parks panel that a second round of new parts is coming during SW Weekends, so I guess they'll be out soon.

The new parts were released the first day of SWCA, in the morning. It is really frustrating.

Ah, I didn't notice the side detailing on the leg being changed, only the foot; good catch!
