It is now official: I will not be going to Comic Con this year. My streak ends at 20 straight conventions. I look forward to this all year, but this summer, as I foresaw last year, I will be visiting my family in Argentina. We've all had some good adventures together down there in the quest for line positions, toys, and camaraderie. I will miss the convention this summer as I will miss hanging out together and sharing meals, stories, complaints, and assorted danishes.

Ace Parking finally refunded the $720 they screwed up and took out my card, a week after it happened. I have parking for the days I need, but it was an agonizing time getting it. It seems like there isn't one thing SDCC touches now that doesn't have these sorts of problems.

Maradona, have a great trip, it sounds like you're making a good trade-off there, family is so important. And we can hang out when you get back, I'll even have the gang wait in line to make you feel right at home.

The HTS lineup at 5:30 am won't be the same without you though as of this moment, I'm not planning on getting any of their stuff this year.

Have a great trip! I'll have plenty of stories from the con I'm sure the next time we all meet up.

So, who's going, and when? I'll make plans to come down for a day or so even though I'm not going to the con, but it'd be helpful to know when's best to do so.

Don't reckon I can convince everyone to go for Crazee Burger, can I?
    Tommy, close your eyes.

I intend to go all 5 days.

Depends on when, I suppose. I generally don't like to leave the Gaslamp until I'm done with my day, but I suppose a trolley run up to Old Town might not be totally out of the question depending on schedules. I'd definitely go there after the show on Sunday, anything to keep from facing the traffic back to LA.

Ha! I only suggested that because it got shot down a year or two ago.

Though I'm definitely up for it.

I've never been to Crazee Burger. I'll be at the con Thurs, Fri, Sun and will do my best to fit this into the schedule if we end up going.
