    Exclamation Watch for merged threads

Recently, the Hasbro Saga forum has become very active with lots of readers creating many new threads. This often leads to duplicate threads which cause new topics to get pushed off the first page quickly, which causes more new threads leading to a cycle where discussion is difficult.

To keep discussion moving as smoothly as possible, new threads that seem to go with earlier recent threads have been merged together. Several threads about Online Retailers being expensive are now all one thread; there were over a dozen different "How my Midnight Madness went" threads even though there was a "STICKY" thread at the top of the forums about this very topic (sticky threads stay at the top of a forum even if they're not in chronological order). This unfortunately leads to buried threads or not enough time given to us moderators to Private Message every author of a thread being merged.

If you see a dot in a thread's folder icon, that means you have replied in the past in that thread. If you don't remember posting in that thread before, it's quite possible your reply was in a thread merged into this new thread.

If something seems terribly wrong, you can PM or email me (pm below and email is lego@sirstevesguide.com or contact SirSteve or one of the other Saga section moderators. Thanks, and have fun in the forums!

Also, there have been a lot of threads asking questions and having them answered, so watch for answered closed threads as well.

    Angry Question for Jedi Tricks...

Do you belive that the "Grab and Shake" is considered a violent act? Seriously. Say you went to a local k b toys and saw some of the very hard to find attack of the clones figures on the pegs. Because you obviously didn't know there was going to be anything new, you didn't bring a basket. But now, you go and get a basket, and when you return, there is this 30ish bald guy with thick glasses hogging up all the figures and throwing them into his basket. Tell me you wouldn't go up to him, grab him by his shirt and start to shake him violently. Keep in mind, I only said shake--not strike. What do you think?

I'm not exactly sure what the subtext of your question is (aka, why are you asking me this here?), but absolutely I'd consider it a violent act no matter what. Touching someone at all is already invading their personal space, but to then shake them, that's not only rude, it could potentially (though not likely) lead to minor brain injuries.

That's not to say I haven't felt like "grab & shaking" a few more annoying people from time to time, but you can't shake sense into people and you CAN get arrested for it.

He's asking cause he didn't like being told that in this thread, JT. Just for your information. And I agree 100% with you on that issue, as do most of the forum members. Violence over toys, sounds like silly schoolyard stuff. Check the last 2 pages especially, thats where he really talks about assaulting so called "scalpers".

Yeah, I just got there a second ago and came here to update my post about that. I cannot dictate his path for him, but I would suggest that anything trivial enough to be discussed in the SAGA forums is far too trivial to injur another person over - or to risk one's own injury.

    Angry To: Jedi Tricks

    Dear, Jedi Tricks

I can see that 90% of the members on here disapprove of using violence against scalpers. Because of this, I agree that the use of violence against a scalper might in turn cause more problems then it will solve. Sure I might get that hard to get figure, but what if this scalper decides that he needs to get a little pay back? What then? Looks like I'll have to resort to more violence. Not only that, the scalpers might have to resort to violence against collectors in order to try to keep their businesses alive. And then we'll have to resort to violence in order to keep scalpers from getting the hard to find figures. Before you know it, people might get seriously hurt over a piece of plastic. I guess I can understand where you guys are coming from. Violence and action figure don't mix.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Growl

You would be suprised at how minor an unsolicited physical contact with another person can be and still warrant assault charges being brought against someone.
