Question Red Astromech in Queen's Starship Early Version?

I was just taking a look at the pics of the Royal Starship playset. If you go to the picture archive and take a look at "Close Up 2", I think it is, the R2 unit in the elevator has a white body with red detailing. Is this a mock up, prototype, or did they not have a clue what they were gonna pack in at the time of the photograph?

Also... Did the final version of the Red Astromech even have a name. The box only reads: "Exclusive Red R2 unit" or something to that end. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Naboo Escape R2's Force File names him as R2-R9.

I have no idea. It's probably what you said before, just a mock-up.

Yup, mock-up. I caught this little change back when SSG first put up those pics many moons ago.

Concerning these R2 units, (R2-B1 and R2-R9) it seems that the plataform included in the Naboo Royal Ship is different from the one included in the R2-B1 figure. The R2-R9 figure doesnt seem to fit correctly as the R2-B1 figure does.
    As always...........L

They're of significantly different design, they don't even look like the same thing up close.

The Power Harness... which you referred to as a "Platform" is really different. The R2-B1 harness is actually sculpted with details and is painted. The one in the Royal Starship is also painted, but the details are just a simple detail that sticks onto the sides of the armatures.

I purchased extra R2-B1s just so I could have a few more power harnesses for R2-R9 and R2-D2 (and someday, hopefully, R2-A6!)!!!
