i have a zam with the face-reveal mask sticker and one w/ the quick-draw action. they both have diffrent backs and are packaged diffrently. the face-reveal one has the plastic that zam is in way up front in the bubble. the other is way in back of the bubble. are these typical errors or is this something new (they did it w/ HD anikan...he has 5 variations now!)

It's a legitimate variation that doesn't make much sense, unless they did it for aesthetic reasons. Or perhaps so that variation hunters would buy the new versions to get them off the shelf at a quicker pace.
Keep them both. You could always use one for a custom Clawdite/ permanantly transformed Zam."It's bombs away for Iraq and on our civil liberties if Bush and his cronies get their way. Dissent is patriotic!"
